Hey. Why stock size? I tow long distances and want 1”+ of rake.

I didn’t see a lot of reviews for the RG’s in stock size. Figured I’d post for those who aren’t going bigger but want E load for towing or a better AT type tire than the Michelin A/T2’s that come with TRD Off-road.

    Initial impressions:
Drove 70 miles on highway today. Nice! I see no problem with excessive noise and road seams/cracks are less noticeable. Granted it’s a whopping 70 miles so far.

I’ll hand calculate next couple of tanks for mpg. These RG’s are 56.36 lbs vs the 40.39 lbs of Mush-alins. Will see what the weight does to mpg’s. Trade off for E load. (My guess is 1-1.5)

Adding 6112/5100 combo along with alignment on Monday. To the dismay of many I’m going at the lowest setting lol. (Remember I tow and want rake)
Lowest setting is .75” and I’ll measure beforehand.

    Adding TRD sway-bar too.

I’ll try to post all results (mpg, rake height etc) for non levelers like myself who are looking for input.

    (6112, lowest setting, 3/4”, .75”, 275/65/18, big rake)C459BA16-0A0C-4D2E-85B0-295A8F3DB06B.jpgD6CDD6EE-01BD-4ED0-B37A-CE3C828F0B6B.jpg

Bilstein 6112 up front 5100 rear. Installed today! Side note: one crushed ABS sensor. An accident and they are replacing with OEM via fedex next day air.

    Measurements before and after:

    Front-
    Driver side 23 1/2” is now 24 3/8”
    Passenger 23 1/2” is now 24 3/8”

Rear 25 1/4 both sides unchanged.

A whopping 7/8” rake. Will check again in a week for an accurate number
    Note:
Diamondback HD cover 115lbs plus HD rack weight (20-30lbs?)
Bed has TRD sway bar in box plus 50-75lbs of crap. Let’s say 225 lbs total. (+/-)

This may influence rear height numbers to be a tad lower. I use the bed, I tow, I have the DB cover so this is why I’ve stayed at the 3/4” lowest level.

Only drove 3 miles (dash looks like Christmas with ABS sensor gone lol)

I did purposely go fast entering a street that dips severely. Previously I’d never go 30mph in this dip but shocks/coils shrugged it off easily. Looking forward to some dirt, towing etc to see what I’ve done here. All good.

I’ll wait a week or so to put on rear sway bar. Token photo of course.
