    Build Update 7/26/22

Received my Prospeed catch can system. Hopefully we can keep unwanted oil from the pcv system from getting into the intake/intercooler area. Thursday the Dirtking lower shock mount/bump strike pad gets installed. Also added a 2" wheel spacer in the rear as much as I don't want to run a rear spacer think it might be needed for clearing the rear shocks. We'll see if I can get away without one once the new mounts are in. But they did help during my quick shake down runs this weekend.

    Build Update 7/28/22

We finally got the rear lower shock mounts installed with the integrated bump pads. This should take care of my shock clearance issues. Also trimmed the bed a bit more since it did move the shock in and forward. Added long travel extended rear brake lines while it was getting worked as well. Final thing to do is add limit straps to front and rear but we should be able to push it real hard now.

Now to clean up the rear shocks and get those rub marks off and throw on a sticker lol. Might try and hit a trail this weekend while the wife's at work to test it all out.

Yea definitely planning some footage. Actually need to see if my go pro fits on this tripod I have. I’ll be sure to add videos. I’m planning a trip with another long travel tundra to do some shock tuning.

    Build Update 8/9/22

Minor items from the last posting. Did some dune running last weekend which was fun. Hoping to get paint and rear bumper done next month. Wife has suspended major mods until after the in law leaves (she arrives next week). Doing some camping and hopefully some trail running this coming weekend. Still have lots to do in prep for the baja run in Jan. Chase lights, switch pros the list goes on and on.

    Cleaned and restickered rear shocks
Cleaned up and rerouted abs lines, brake lines, emergency brake line, removed unwanted mounts
Airbox mod (aka another hole-SABM mod)
Prospeed catch filter update (K&N at least 100 hp)
Added OBD Fusion app to monitor vitals
    Pinned trans cooler mod

After some testing and data logging I've noticed 10-15 Deg cooler IAT temps with the addition of the SABM mod. In an effort to keep things cool and happy I've begun thermal wrapping items. First up is the actual intake box. In route are thermal wraps for the intake tube and intercooler hose lines. Plus it's in gold. Who doesn't like that lol. I managed to hit a few trails over the weekend and also confirmed the lower shock mount mods have fixed my clearance issues. More to come once the other items arrive. We also received some sweet heritage straps for the spare tire thanks to Alpine Offroad.

Those straps are :bananadead:. I don't need any more straps right now but want them anyways.

Adds to the long mental list of needs (not wants).

how do you feel the stock intake box/filter does with the dust and dirt? Does the SABM make it worse?

The stock box in my opinion works fine with dust and dirt. Filter wise its been hit and miss. For example I've ran a wix filter in dusty conditions and it didn't filter as well as a K&N. I'm going to try an AFE dry filter soon and see how that does compared to the K&N.

The wix was a paper? and the K&N was oiled high flow?

Correct, the Afe is a dry filter that supposedly filters well.

Nothing very scientific. Removing the box and checking the filter itself then the box lid and intake area post throttle body. (Inlet of the blower)

A handful of us have done a bunch of air filter testing and we all landed on the Toyota factory paper ones as the best option for balance of performance, filtering and cost.

That would be a nice option. I'll have to see if there's a size to fit the maggy box.
