nice, on my Tacoma it was halogen so I swapped to high output LED bulb and life is good

but the new Tundra come with LED reverse lights already and I don't think they can be easily swapped, so adding that might be the easier way.

How was tapping into the reverse light wires? Do you have to figure out which wire is which in order to get it to work? or the light is non polar?

Yeah, I've always changed the reverse lights to LEDs, even on my 2019 and I still added this lol

More light works for me with dark window tint, it just helps

Tapping into the reverse lights was very easy and with the 2022, the reverse lights being in the bumper instead of tail lights, its even easier access. Took me like 10 minutes to do with most of my time being used to clean up and make it look nice

    VLED bar posted above ^

Yes, it comes with T taps to just splice. They're okay, not water proof, better when used inside the cabin and not exposed to elements.

I would suggest getting or making an actual reverse light harness that connects to the reverse wiring connectors with a IP rated pigtail VLED 2 pin connecter for this. No hacking factory wiring that can short if wet, moister build up and corrode.

Yup, it's the VLEDs License Plate Reverse lights:
    https://www.vleds.com/lp-reverse-72-w-5500k.html

They supplied everything and you don't have to splice anything. It comes with a DUO Tap so you'll just put the wires through it. Once done, I wrapped everything with electrical tape and tucked it away so hopefully it won't be an issue with water or elements :)

in your 2022 Tundra, is there a red wire and a black wire like the photo shown, and is that how you tapped them? I assume that tap is single use, and you can't redo it if wrong wires are tapped

Yes, if you look under the truck at the reverse lights, you'll see the red, black (could be white/black cable, can't remember) and they also have a green. I tapped into the red and black.

I don't have a 2022, maybe OP could help with color wires but I would think it would be the same?

That is how you tap it, as shown in the picture.

You can use them more than once, but you have to be careful if you pry them open not to damage the claps tabs that crimp the wire in place. I've used these T duotaps, T single taps, single and double straight taps more than once when re-wiring. Also be careful about the wire itself doing multiple taps. If it doesn't work the first time, swap the wires in the same splice / tap location.
