    Hi,

I KNOW it's not super accurate but I like it for the long trips I take.

Yesterday I got new battery and tires and now from ~415 miles from full 38 gallon tank I get 600! Right away it was saying 200+/- miles with ~1/4 tank and I didn't notice and when I filled up 600....

I read about unhooking that battery but that was done with the reinstall. Oh yea Toyota replaced for free so their battery....Got in with 35,600 miles!

Since it's right in my face while driving I'd prefer something closer to reality...or maybe new tires and battery WILL give me 600 miles per tank full! :D

    Thanks!

600 Miles/38 Gallons = ~15.8 MPG. That is feasible depending on conditions.

Yea but it shows empty at ~28 gallons. I gather due to the fact the fuel pump which is in the tank needs to remain submerged. At any rate most I've ever filled up and "empty tank" is 29 gallons....

Perhaps it reset real quick on a short trip where I got like 30 mpg. I suppose it would only take one trip even a mile long to set it that way... I know it seems to learn since I tow an RV quite often I get as low as 9 mpg on some trips. I've gotten 20+ on a couple "down hill" tail wind trips!

But since I bought the Tundra brand new it's always hovered around 410 miles per "tank"

It'll correct itself soon. One or two tanks and your DTE will be back to normal.

computer was reset with battery change, miles estimate will come back down as computer calculates MPG based on your driving.

So are you just making a statement or trying to solve a problem?
