Hey guys, I'm changing out the JBL head unit in my 2003 Sequoia. In respect to sound quality, I'm wondering if I should use the metro harness that retains factory amplifiers or simply pull new wire to the doors. Has anyone replaced their factory head unit and found that it sounded better powered out of the new unit as opposed to running through the preamp of the new unit and out the factory amps?

Bypass the amp and use the amp in the aftermarket stereo. You also don’t need to run new speaker wire. Wires are already ran from the amp to the speakers.

there are also 2 harnesses that can be used. One to retain factory amp and another to bypass the factory amp.

Thank you. I did bypass the amps. It sounds amazing. I would strongly recommend anyone looking at this does the same
