Anyone have a link to a step by step for replacing the front door latch? I thought I could move my old actuator to my new latch but the old latch has wiring on it. I may have bought the wrong part because I have power locks?

    Any help would be great.

I'm no expert on this, and have never done this myself, but your new latch assembly appears to have slots for those three wires coming out of the AISIN Box. The red/green/black wires. Can you provide more pictures of your old, and new part?

Looking again, at this part I have circled here in light blue kinda makes me wonder if you did in fact order the wrong part. More pics?

Pretty sure it's the wrong part. Top one is for manual locks. Bottom one is for power locks. Can't say for sure w/o the new part number in full to look up compatibility.

If this was done by someone in the parts dept of a dealership, carry it back up to them and show them both units so they can refund and get you the correct part.

If this was something you did, accidentally, give some more details on year/cab type/trim pkg of your truck and I'll try to figure out where you went wrong.

Talked to dealership and I did get the wrong part. I saw Youtube videos of guys moving the old actuator onto the new latch and it working fine but I guess we have to just get a new everything for some reason. (No Tundra vids of this on Youtube it seems).

I just put the old one back in and will deal with it later.

    Thanks guys.

I don't understand why it's so hard to find. I'm telling you guys, if you just put your year/make/cab type info into your user profile so it shows in your truck info, people can look this stuff up for you if you can't. Like, for my '06 Access Cab, the parts page is here: https://parts.toyota.com/a/Toyota_2...1696/FRONT-DOOR-LOCK--HANDLE/841420-6753.html

The page clearly segregates the WITH POWER DOOR LOCK parts in the exploded diagrams, and clearly you can buy the latch assembly, the actuator ... this shit is easy enough if you know what you're looking for. Happy to help, but you need to share the most basic of info: Year. Cab Type. Engine type. 2WD or 4WD.
