Any idea where replacement locks can be purchased? Purchased truck used and the keys are missing for the current locks.

No it is for the tool boxes that came with the truck. Toyota OEM boxes.

Either take the locks to a locksmith to get new keys cut, or reach out to Toyota. Personally, I'd ask @Roman as he is our OEM Parts Guru on here.

Local Toyota dealer says there is not an option for anew key. Locksmith says they can do nothing. @Roman appreciate any help you can provide.

Let's see the bottom of the lock.
Is that a push button lock?

You need to see a "real" locksmith, I assure you a true locksmith can in fact make a key.

I don't mean to crash your thread (but i guess that's what I'm doing ) I'm thinking about adding those boxes. How well do you like them & is there still at least 48" between them for sheet goods like plywood?

I can't help with your lock issue but if you need fireplace advice I'm yer huckleberry. Thanks!

I have the boxes. Like em'! Yes, just a bit over 48", haul panels often here. Some say they leak, mine don't leak, but I don't pressure or wand wash my truck either. Old fashioned sponge and bucket method here. I will say they could interfere with some accessories such as a soft topper cap because of the way the framework folds up and down.

Do you have a key at all? If so, which locks does the key work in, if any?

I have the same issue. No key and no one will touch it. Was there a solution to this?

Its unfortunate that there's so few real lock smiths around anymore since an actual lock smith can definitely create a key for it.

The dealership lost the keys for miine and had to order new boxes because not even they could get it rekeyed....so likely unless you find an aftermarket service you won't fix it.

    Try easykeys.com.

They have helped me in the past.

You most likely would have to send a "Submit a Request" with pics.

    Worth a try.

    Good luck.

I am currently trying to get keys made for these locks.

My locksmith kept it for a few days and couldn’t get a key made. I’ve used him for years and believe if it was possible, he could do it.

These locks are massive with a 1.18” OD. That is unusually large for this type of lock making an off the shelf solution difficult to find.

If anyone has had success. Please post.

Real locksmith here. Unfortunately locksmiths don't manufacture keys from raw material. In order to make a key we would need a correctly milled blank that goes into the lock. Maybe there is another key that is close enough that would work to begin with but maybe not. If we had the correct uncut blank to start with a locksmith should be able to impression a key unless the lock has a sidebar design. If it is a side bar and the lock does not disassemble then no they would not be able to.

My guess is your Locksmith wasn't even able to find a key that would work to begin with to even properly attempt to make a key.

Contact Toyota customer relations and request the contact information for the box manufacturer,/supplier. Then reach out to them to request the contact information for the lock supplier.
