I have an 07 tundra with a crappy JBL system. An aftermarket radio was already in it when I bought it. I believe the connections are bad behind it because the speakers go in and out up front and I’ve already checked those. I’m replacing head unit eventually but speakers are first.
My question is if I had those two little radio removal tools could I just slide the aftermarket radio out without removing the a/c controls, cup holder and all that stuff?

Depends. was the radio installed on a cage that came with the radio? If yes, then you can use the tool to remove the radio. But if it's screws to the trum kit, then you HAVE remove the dash to get to the radio.
Skip to 0:50 to see how it is remove. Dont have to remove cup holder like vid.
