    I own 2003 tundra. I am experiencing a clicking sound (behind the stereo), in the dashboard, when I come to a complete stop. The sound starts just before the wheels stop turning and then the clicking stops -when I am at a dead stop. (4 clicks- like a relay). I can duplicate the clicking every time. I had the ABS resently checked out by a Toyota dealership. They looked over the entire ABS and gave it a green light. However, they were not able to determine where the clicking was coming from and told me to bring it back in for a further diagnostic check. Thoughts?

    Something in the AC system perhaps? Blender door actuator? Likely a relay as you have suggested. There are several back there for various things like stability control and the AC system. Odd the dealership couldn't determine where the relay noise was coming from. Don't they know where all the relays are?

    Very weird situation. The truck is at the dealership now, 2nd time. They have had a master tech look it over several times. Still nothing. Again--- clicking sound (behind the stereo), in the dashboard, when I come to a complete stop. 3 or 4 clicks than it goes away!!!

    Is it something to do with the cruise control "box" i think its to the right of the radio.

    If you remove your HVAC bezel you should be able to see it? I can't remember for sure.

    I'm no expert, but thats the only thing I can think of?

    Just throwing an idea out there.

    Reasons for abnormal noise in the center console.

    1. Central control plastic board is not buckled tightly or the front windshield glass enters dust. According to the instructions of the manual, remove the adapter plate and clean it up to remove the abnormal noise;

    2. Remove all sundries, decorative objects. , if the navigation has been modified, check whether there are any screws left in it, or the screws are not tightened!

    The solution.
    1. Adjust the gap between the instrument panel and the outer frame; 2. wrap the black outer frame with tape such as double-sided tape. The principles of these two methods are the same, the purpose is to prevent the outer frame and the instrument panel from rubbing directly to make noise.

    Or, the truck is sitting in the shop and the Master Tech looks at it from across the way. ‘Yeah, he looked at it’. :rofl:

    Maybe everybody in the shop looked at it when they were getting snacks from the lounge and asked each other "What's that in here for?" and nobody knew. :confused:
