The ice machine isn't working anymore but i'm unsure it's the ice maker or the pump. The dispenser still gives me water but my question is, is that the same pump?
    It's a Frigidaire LGUS2642LF1.

I"m trying to determine that. I filled up the machine with some bottle water, poured it down the funnel that the water feed comes in, I was going to check this AM if it cycled butI heard my wife running the last of the ice for her smoothy....Guess I need to dump completely and test again.

Water tube could be frozen feeding icemaker, try disconnecting at water valve and blowing through it

I have had issues with our Kenmore Elite fridge icemaker for a couple years now. its a bottom freezer and the defroster does not work properly which causes the freezer coils to accumulate ice build up which makes the fridge noisier than normal and also affects the temp. I usually have to thaw it out once a month or 2 but I am certain the ice build up affects the icemaker, in my case. Maybe worth looking into. I too started with diagnosing the icemaker and doing exactly what you did with pouring water into the cube molds. Maybe a fluke but I swear ours makes ice as long as there is ice in the bucket but as soon as you run it empty it always seems to take longer to make more.

Icemakers are notorious for failing and are the weak link in modern refrigerators. I have an 12 yr old LG and replaced the icemaker twice now and I carry a spare. What code is it showing? Mine typically shows eR1S which is the icemaker sensor or freezer fan. Before replacing the icemaker, try a hard reset ( unplug, wait a minute, then plug in again), as sometimes that works. You could also try to cycle the icemaker back to the "harvest position". Also defrosting is an obvious option if like mentioned above coils are iced over or a possible frozen line.

Our ice maker quit working, threw an error code. Turned out we just needed to defrost the whole thing. We have an lg fridge also.

edit-just saw the lg is just the model number. But still might be a fix?

I stopped buying appliances made by phone companies a long time ago. ok not that long but still.
It's full of ice right now, I dumped the ice bin. I'll see if it's cycling soon. If not I'll pull it out, defrost it and hook it back up to see if it'll start running.

It's not cycling. I'll pull it out over the weekend, thaw it out and give it another go.

I had the same problem on our old Whirlpool. After searching the web it showed to be very common on our model. The remedy was to thaw it to using a hair dryer. Sounds strange I know, but it took care of the freeze up multiple times. good luck

    Mudderpucker!
Got around to lowes and picked up the replacement part for the Ice machine and pump, comes in a kit. I was careful to get one from the back of the stock, didn't want an open box. Got on it today and installed the machine, thinking that's all I need. Once done I noticed the sealed bag with pump and tubes was ripped open. Then I inspected the box, it was VERY CAREFULLY resealed.
Now I don't know if I'm dealing with a known good ice machine. Another stinkin trip to lowes to return the SOB!
