Anyone here do Red Cone in their Tundra? I did it two years ago with some buddies, it was like steering a limo through a tight parking garage but the tundra made it up to the top. Had to air down and the 6" lift definitely helped, pretty gnarly trail.

I did Red Cone in my ‘99 Tacoma and since then Jeeps. We plan on going up this month sometime.

Favorite trail I’ve ever done. Did this my first week of having my liscense 19 years ago in my ‘91 4runner! Haven’t done it for a few years but I bet a few places in the trees before you get above timberline would be a little gnarly and tight in a full size truck but the “cone” for sure is by far the most intense part of the trail. Last we ran this trail it seemed like it was getting to be such a popular trail all the hard sections were filled in and closed off by forest service or had Cheater paths around the hard obstacles and rocks stacked to get through the hard sections. First time we ever ran this trail was probably 1999 and didn’t see another person the entire time. It was gnarly washed out and very challenging!

Talk of closing this trail the time to comment to forest service is up though now I believe. See what happens

Yes correct they sent out email don’t know if I still have it. I think it was something to with closing multiple things in that area including the trail
