Hello everyone! First post here and glad to be part of the community Thanks for all the knowledge everyone has posted on here I have been lurking for 5years fixing a lot of shit on my truck. So my power Steering pump is going fersure it sounds like a flock of seagulls along with my strut bushing. I Got quoted from the dealership 408 for a new pump but I found on La Grange Toyota a pump for 272 and they claim that it is OEM stock, does that sound right? Also are there any other recommended aftermarket pumps that people put in and have good luck with? I’m willing to drop the 300 If it’s OEM but wouldn’t mind spending a little less with good report. Thank you in advance and I will be standing by.

Welcome officially to the community @Jodiak333

I personally prefer to go OEM in most cases with a few exceptions. $272 seems reasonable if we are referring to the same part (44310-0C030). I think it is safe to assume it's OEM from that seller unless the listing states otherwise. The lowest price I found doing a quick search online from another Toyota parts dealer was $266.98.

I can't speak to aftermarket versions as I haven't had to replace mine with 225k miles and thus have limited experience/research.

Are you planning to perform the replacement yourself? If so, I wouldn't hesitate and avoid buying something of inferior build quality.

For 2002 via Stealer Parts Programme. Your $272 is better priced. Make sure OEM!

I've had good luck (not on this truck) with NEW aftermarket pumps Cardone is the only one I'd stay away from. Every reman I've had leaked within a year.

You could also go with a used pump, salvage yards around me have bunches for about $50.

Sunsong via RockAuto seems to be the only one others have found that's worth a damn and not threaded wrong. But it's not one-size-fits-all, varies by year, make, model maybe?

Go OEM if possible. I’m at 251k miles on my 04 with the factory original pump. It’s a no brainer for only a few dollars more than aftermarket.
