Hi, everyone. Im moving to DC from San Antonio and I would appreciate some 411 on reputable dealers in the area. My 2021 is coming up for 30K service and will likely need to get it done as soon as I get there.

    Thanks for the help!

I would avoid the dealerships in this area unless you have a service plan that only Toyota can execute ( I thought these were typically local plans).

Will you be in DC, Maryland, or Virginia proper?

I will be in DC, JB Anacostia-Bolling. I dont have a service plan so I dont have to go the dealership. I can do the work myself but would rather have it done. Any shops around (not dealership) that you recommend?

Nothing crazy - Oil change, tire rotation, Lubricate propeller shaft and Re-torque propeller shaft bolt.

Is the propeller shaft lubricatable on your truck? I thought Mama Toyota made them non-serviceable starting in.....'18 or '19.

Im not quite sure. I know I lubricated it on my 2018 4Runner so I assumed its same on my Tundra. Will have to check

For reference, for any serious work to your truck that may come up beyond general maintenance, although they do that too...worth the drive to http://ironpigoffroad.com/ in Fredericksburg. Premier east coast Landcruiser shop, and they of course work on other stuff too. Their shop is like a Toyota museum. I have been a regular customer since 2008 with my 80 series LC, my 100 series LX470 and now my Tundra. Schedule your stuff well in advance. They won't ever steer you wrong.

Closest auto hobby shop if you are active duty is on Indian Head at the end of MD210. Small but conveniently closer than others to Bolling. The best in the area though is on Quantico.
