so I’ve searched high and low and I can’t find anything. The home link buttons on my rear view mirror don’t illuminate on my 08sequoia sr5. It’s something minor but it pisses me off every time I pull up to the house. Anyone know where I should look?
    Thank you in advance.

I don't think they will illuminate. My '08 Tundra is the same way...

Mine is a 2018 and they still haven’t added illumination for mirror controls. Major flaw.

My Home Link rear view mirror has a small green light next to the button to open the garage door. Key must be in and on for it to work though.

pretty sure that's just telling you what mode your auto adjusting mirror is in (day or night - i think it's green for day, red for night)

Well, it is associated with the garage door opening transmitter. It is constant green, then pulsing green when I push the opener button (to indicate the transmitter working I assume). It never shows red.

glancing at a manual I was probably wrong - no red - the green light indicates auto dimmer is on - but you're right too - it's also in indicator light for garage door setup/operation.

Is there a way to not have the green indicator light come on the rear view mirror every time I start my truck? I can turn it off by pressing the power button on the rear view mirror, but is there a way to just not have it come on? The garage door buttons seem to work whether the light is on or not.

    Not nearly enough room here!
My 2010 SR5 lights-up. I glued a little "Nub" on the first button so it's easier to feel.

Great idea! I think I’ll “borrow” it. Maybe I’ll use some clear acrylic so it doesn’t block the light.
