    Structural integrity question, crew max

There is a post or two involving underseat storage, etc... Lifting the rear seat, and moving it forward with a custom relocation bracket. Im not trying to take anything away from anyone and their hard work. Just trying to figure out a different way to approach them same issue.

Is there any reason a solid piece of C Channel could not be used to lift and move the seat forward? Like 1/4" thick or so? Holes could be drilled and additional proper hardware installed.

Just a thought about the overall strength for safety

    Opinions?

I think you’d have to move the entire bracket. It’s probably doable. One of the esp storage box options replaces the brackets I believe, the long single space one.

Well this is a long shot since it is so old but did you replace the rear seat brackets? I am looking for the rear seat brackets and all my searches on the internet bring me in here. May as well try

Might post in the marketplace section as WTB. I know several members have removed the seats to build cargo, dog, and sleeping platforms in the back of their truck cabs. Another option is head to a salvage yard, plenty of wrecked Tundras out there. Good luck with the search!
