Can anyone give me some advice ?
Changed pads and rotor on my rear brakes (2012 Tundra) terrible grinding sound after new install. I am positive I replaced all components correctly. But I did this while the vehicle was in park. Never touched the E brake. Any ideas or thoughts on what this could be and how to fix ??????????

Is the noise anytime the truck is moving, or only when braking?

I’m thinking you accidentally bent one of the dust shields and it’s rubbing on the rotor.

Thanks for the help, It was the dust shield. The dust shield has to portions that cover the (outside diameter and inside diameter) it was the smaller inside diameter. I just banked it out a bit with a block. Presto no more noise!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again !!!!!

I had the same problem on my 2011. Mine was on both sides in the area closest to where the caliper mounts. Several calculated whacks with a flat head punch and it was dead quite again!
