Hey guys. Finally getting around to doing the suspension work I’ve been planning.

2.5” rough country lift coming off(2” block on the rear). Swapping it out for Bilstein 5100s(2887 springs on the front to maintain the lift) and Alcan leafs(2” lift specified as block is being removed).

When replacing the rear RC M1 shocks(PN 770799) on the back, I noticed the 5100s that I have are much shorter. I need to jack the rear diff up quite a bit just to get the stud through the shock tower.

Is this correct? Am I going to damage something by “topping out” the rear shocks?

Rear 5100s for the Tundra can accommodate 1” of lift, not 2.5”.

I thought the 5100 rear shocks were only good up to a 1 inch lift. I'd get different (longer) rear shocks.

24-100144 is supposed to be good for 0"-1" lift.

I have ~1.5" lift out back (total) with an updated HD leaf pack and they're hanging in there fine, but that's not me saying I'd trust with another half inch if I was really going to be engaging them. I don't spend my weekends huckin' over sand dunes, or crawling, so ... grain of salt required.
