Checking in! RC 6" lift here looks nice ride quality sucks! Who ever installed didn't install correctly as per installation instructions the rear cross member wasn't cut ..soooo if I wanted I cud get rid of this lift but I wud need OEM knuckles...I mean it looks great just ride quality it's a spacer lift so not good for off roading..also CV axle angles are flexed out at both ends not horizontal so you can bust a boot or what not turning radius decreases.. I ride on 35s 20x10 wheels

I have the 8", only have about 2500 miles on it so far, but so far so good. Only complaint I had was it removes the stock skid plate(no biggie) but the kit doesn't come with anything to reattach the bottom of the valance to. I have nutsert tool, so a quick trip to the hardware store for some bolts and nylon spacers and it was all fixed up. Here's a pic from the day I picked it up from the shop, 37x13.50r22 on 22x10's. Needed some trimming behind the front bumper and a cab mount chop to clear with no rubbing lock to lock during normal driving.

And another after some of the chrome disappeared.

7" BDS Coilover kit here...the stance is badass and it rides better than stock. I wouldn't choose any other kit ever but that's just me :)

Interesting, I have never ever heard anyone with a 7” lift say it rides better than stock. Stock suspension is pretty soft. It’s been said by many installers the higher you go the more rigid or stiffer the ride.

That's true if you pinch pennies, but my old F250 with an 8" lift on 38x13.50R24's rode much better than stock. I didn't buy the most expensive stuff out there, but I also didn't buy anywhere near the cheapest either. Currently my truck is a bit stiffer in the front than stock, due to the pre-load spacer, but I expect a drastic improvement when the Fox coilovers go on.

I'm really enjoying my current suspension setup. It's still a different ride from stock. If you wanted a lifted truck with a softer feeling truck I would look into the pro comp long travel suspension. It's not a 7" lift probably closer to 3". For a 7" lift I elected to go with Pro Comp and use fox Shocks. All though a lifted truck will typically ride more stiff. There are things you can do to make it ride better. Better Shocks, Coilovers not stretched out, adjustable Upper Control Arms, replacement leaf springs to remove blocks, rear shackles, coach-builder steering ends and coach-builder shim kit. But it adds up to a lot more money.

I have the 6" but only because my warranty wouldn't let me go 8". Love the ride quality, driveline geometry was maintained, customer service is unrivaled. Highly recommend Readylift! I did have spacers but replaced with Fox 2.0 coils.

8" ready lift here.. 37x13.5, 22x12 wheels. had to chop the bumper and cab mount as well, but im running -44 offset.

Mine rides great, love the quality of the ReadyLift. They are a little more pricey, but I say you get what you pay for. it also comes with a lifetime warranty.

here's a couple pics. IMO, the truck looks way higher without the steps lol but I don't wanna rip my pants jumping in and out

Yea less offset pushes the tire out. I went with -24 alot of guys go bigger like -44 or more. Looks great too.

appreciate it! 6'' is a great height. you aren't sacrificing a whole lot and prolly better for the kiddos. but yeah I plan on doing the regear in the next couple of months. hopefully that 5.29 gear package stays course for april, fingers crossed! definitely kills the MGP without a regear, but that was a sacrifice I was willing to make hahah :fistbump:

If my truck turns out half as good as yours looks i will be happy. As for the mpg i only drive about 10 to 15 miles a day. An we might take my truck on vacation once a year. I dont get great milage now. About 14 or 15. So its all good. Small price to pay to have a bad as truck like you have. I have seen people trade there tundras in to gain a couple miles on the gallon. Screw that. I will take reliabilty and looks over milage anyday.

    Peace!

I wish toyota would have put the front pillar grab handles on drivers side too. Dont know why they just put them on the passenger side. Anybody know where to buy one at? Im only 5 10 getting in and out might be a lil tricky. Again small beans but just thinking a head.
Also talked to boss 4x4 yesterday and they was saying that bilstien should have a aftermarket coilover for us readylift 6 and 8 guys coming out soon. Told him to let me know as soon as they released.

I run a -44 offset. this is a standard 12" wide wheel offset. I believe I have an 8" lip on my wheel, so its pretty deep dish.

but the larger (negative number) the offset, the higher you'll most likely have to go. Once you start pushing the wheels outside of the wheel wells, you start to rub pretty good. So you can either trim, go higher lift, or both.

The guys that installed my lift did a great job trimming the bumper for me, so you cant even tell.
