So I will be putting on my lift in the next few weeks since I ordered my wheels and tires and they should be here soon. I will be doing it in my dad's shop, so I have access to a lift and air tools. I have my brother that's been a certified mechanic for about 10 years now, a friend of mine that worked at an offroad shop installing lifts, and my dumb ass. lol. My brother helped me put on my leveling kit on my 2011 2wd and it wasn't too bad. This time, it's for my 2017 4wd and of course a bigger lift. Any tips/tricks needed. I have the PDF file that ReadyLift sent with the lift. I opted to get the bilsteins for the rear suspension as well, so that will be changed at the same time. I'm personally thinking to have each of them 2 (more experienced) to each a front wheel, and I'll take the back end as I feel it is simpler and less complicated (unless I'm wrong). New wheels will be 20x10 with -19 offset running BFG KO2's in 325/60R20 (about 35.5"x12.8"). Don't hesitate to say anything as I have a pretty thick skin and take pretty much anything/everything as constructive criticism. Thanks in advance! Pic of ride included since I'm a picture whore.
P.S....my brother and friend don't realize, but I will be paying them both for helping.

I don’t know a damn thing about lifts, so I’ll just compliment your detailing work.

The 6" and 8" kit are the same, just a couple components included for the 8. I can actually turn my 6" into an 8" down the road if I decide to do so. I looked over the instructions, but don't recall any welding. All it consisted of in metal work was to cut the crossmember(welding cover plate is optional). Got me wondering if I missed something. :monocle:

I have a buddy with the 8” on his Crewmax with 35” Toyo’s. Not sure what brand the original shocks were but they rode decent. About like your stock suspension.

He recently put Fox smooth 2.5” shocks I believe and said it’s night and day difference. His truck is a 100% mall crawler.

Ultimately as long as your happy that’s all that matters. If you care what I think the only suggestion is please put an appropriate sized tire on the thing!

Love the Blue on you’re truck. Goodluck

Was just looking at RL site, are you putting the spacers up front? Cause they have now new, Bilstein coilovers with resi, for 6-8" kits which eliminates the front spacers, that blew my mind

That's some of the reason I bought the RL, it's that it keep stock ride quality (and radius). I'm 98% pavement princess, but when struts go out, I may upgrade to those. I'm going to have 325/60R20(see conversion below) and I believe it'll do what I need/like. I believe a good tire to fill the wheel wells. If I change out wheels later to a less offset, may consider 37s, but I do tow sometimes and don't want the tow quality to go to crap. Thanks for chiming in and compliments on blue. Same to @War Machine on complimenting it too. lol

I bought the kit about a year ago when it went on sale for about 20% or so off. So I have the spacer setup. Being that I'm on the pavement more than offroading, I think it shoudl suffice for what I need/want it for. I did see that though. Looks freakin sweet!

@Fotnot had my buddy send me a picture. It’s a little old but gives a good idea. Tires are 35” Toyo mt
