Looking to purchase some ramps for a few of my vehicles to do oil changes and such. I am just kinda scared of the plastic rhino brand. Anything under 200 bucks would.be fine. Any input on these?

Nothing cheaper than a set of home made wooden ones. They’re nice and heaven too so unlikely to slide around as much.

I can easily do my oil changes without a ramp, are you a heavy set fella with a big gut? Then you might need a ramp, or just lift the truck using the would be ramp money.

I've had a set of Rhino Ramps for about 20 years, I know they've changed but there are the older versions on FB marketplace for under $50.

Left tires on top of a curb, rights in the street. Drop oil into gutter. Easy peezy.

20191103_185835.jpg I bought the Rino Ramps years ago and modified to look like this. 2x6's and 2x8's and screws and washers. Made these for multiple vehicles even lower ones. Even makes the vehicle higher.

I have had a set of Rhinos for 10+years. I have not used them on the Tundra. (But I'm certain they would be fine) I can get under it for oil changes and if I need to go higher I use jack stands.

This isn't that old, but did a Forum search and found this. When the Tundra arrives in Feb, I was looking for a set of ramps. I also wanted to use them for me Corolla XRS that is low to the ground and has spoilers.

I saw a few, but the pricing on some is so high, I will stick with jacking the car up and putting it on jack stands. Right now Rustedfenders seems to have the best idea for getting and long easy slant.

Anyone find anything or have a recommendation??

I have a set of long metal tailgate ramps that will tri fold into vehicle ramps. Usually use them to pick up curb snow blowers and lawn mowers.

I’ve got the plastic rhino ramps I use for oil changes on a camry and a mazda 3. Don’t need them for truck. They work great, and they stack so they don’t take up too much space.

I have used the Rhino ramps several times. They sell several different weight classes, just makes sure their rated to cover the weight posted in drivers door jamb.
Not a bad idea to always use some jack stands or blocking for back up plan.

All ramps won't work for all cars, so check them carefully. On some low cars, the front spoilers will get into the ramps before the wheel starts up the ramp. For that car, the ramp "approach angle" is too steep, and the ramp too short, to achieve the design lift in the ramp length. For that reason, most ramps' lift is limited to about 6". Length is the Achilles heel of ramps; the shorter the length to reduce cost, the steeper the approach angle.

Once you have ramps, you have to store them. There is plenty of clearance under the Tundra, but I've looked at them for my wife's Honda Insight (@#$*!+% engine cover!). It's about 5" off the ground, so there ain't no way I'm fitting under there. At the first oil change, I used about six stacked 2" X 8" scrap lumber pieces each side with lengths to create a ramp. Worked great, and the scrap lumber I'm already storing.

I did find one set of ramps that would manage all, race ramps. They sell the ramps and extenders (https://www.raceramps.com/garage-service/ramps/xtenders/p/xtenders/).
But the cost is just more than I will spend. For my race car, I'll just use the jack and jackstand method.

I might consider a set if I can also get my Corolla XRS under and my wife's new Civic.
