Radio does not initialize, stays on TOYOTA logo

My radio does not initialize! Thinking about replacing with an after market. Is that a good idea?

 

There is lots of information needed for a solid answer to be given here.

Hold down the volume button, it will restart the radio.
Also unpair all phones and unplug any
usb drive prior to doing so.

If it helps, my radio would restart mid phone call on Bluetooth… long story short through lots of trial and error, it was because my airpods were also connected to the device. Disconnected them and no more issues.

Pressing on pwr button makes it look like it will fully initialize, but it does not. Stays on the TOYOTA logo. Sure miss it, though. Truck runs great, so keeping it til the wheels fall off! So there is my answer....now to convince the wife!

 

What’s there to convince? Radio is dead. Need new one. Everyone like some kind of music during their commute. Well, unless your wife doesn’t like music in the car. Then, that’ll be a problem for sure. Good luck though.
