I knew what you meant. I jest when I speak about growing old which hasn't been all bad. I've nearly raised two boys now into adulthood and still have my lovely wife of nearly 25 years keeping me young.

And if your Tundra is the child, I hope mine will learn from yours.

If it is not to much trouble, I was wondering if you could post another picture of the front of the truck now that you have the Spidertrax on.

Well, In your what to do thread ... having a family wasn't on your list. So seems like you got your priorities right ... lol. Just kidding, starting a family is not easy but is one of the most important things you'll ever do in life. Material objects become just that ... nothing more important in life than family.

No worries Steve, we're all here to help one another. I'll be watching for a report on your LED's. HR stuff works fine but I'd like to see how their stuff compares to VLeds (love my VLeds switchbacks and their customer service is great, something HR could learn from).

Unfortunately don't be surprised if the HR stuff is incomplete. Everything I've ordered from them at least one item is on backorder. Currently awaiting my foot well led bulb.

Not surprised. I wonder if it's they sell them out or poor planning. Which reverse ones did you order? Level 1 or 2 ...

They'll have them back in stock soon hopefully. They always seem to have something on backorder. Part of the reason I like VLeds customer service better.

Well I know I said time to slow down, and I have ... Just trying to get some opinions on some possible wheel options I'm looking at. Which do you think works with my Tundra and why? Currently on stock TRD 4x4suspension and plan on leveling her with some Bilstein 5100's. Looking to go with 20x9 +20 offset or (+1 with silver Bushwacker fender flares).

    Option #1
    Fuel Nutz

    Option #2
    Fuel Hostage

    Option #3
    Fuel Mavericks

Thanks for your reply Steve! My own thoughts have been similar to yours ...

#1 looks great with the spokes having alittle more detail to them, but I think the machined finish works better for street driven vehicles. (Not that I do much, if any off roading).

#2 probably has the nicest styling, but I was concerned that it doesn't have enough silver to help make the wheel pop on overcast days. I don't like how you can't see the details of the wheels in the shade.

#3 the simplest styling of the three (perhaps alittle too simple). I brought these up because I thought the milled edges help make the wheel stand out alittle in the shade.

Truth is, I can't make up my mind ... each has a pro and con to them.

Edit: Maybe I could go with these ...

    Fuel Nutz two piece

Edit yet again: Not at $450 per rim will I get the Nutz two piece wheels. That's just to rich for me. (edit once again: ok, so I broke down and purchased these)

Lift/level kit arrived ... I'm gonna go this route so I can put more miles on my TRD suspension/Bilstein 4600 struts. I'll go with some coilovers in the future.

Wheels and tires maybe within the next 2-4 weeks

Yes. Methods. Or something more simple and subtle. Too much going on with these fuels. They'll look good for a couple of months but yours gonna get sick of them fast. Especially don't like the centercaps.

Wes, you'll get there. Besides your Tundra already looks great, no need to rush. Wheel spacers are working just fine, but when I get around to doing my wheels I'll order in a proper offset so I won't need them any longer.

Methods are nice, but I haven't seen a perticular style that makes me feel I got to have those. Maybe if I could see them in person I'd change my mind. The Fuels look great in person and I don't really pay any attention to the center caps. Moto Metal 970's look real nice ... and their caps look similar to the Fuels.

Yeah Dave, those Fuels just aren't my style. I actually think they look pretty good, it's just that they look too busy. And anything I ever buy that isn't clean and subtle, I get sick of really quick. But you gotta buy what you like. Everyone's got different tastes. If they're calling your name, just go for it!!

I actually work on a pier on the Bay. We can hear them when they fly nearby us which isn't too often. Seeing them is a breeze ... a few years back a few of us on a slow day during fleet week took one of our work boats out right into the middle of the bay and watched them fly over and around us .

Blue Angels from where I work ...
