So I've owned my Tundra alittle over 3 months now so I thought I'd post a build thread. A little history about me ... I'm a middle aged man who hasn't really ever gone off road. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area so the only time I've ever used 4 wheel drive is when I've gone to the snow in the Sierra's. No real need for me to upgrade my suspension other than wheels for a customized look. So hopefully I don't get flamed for my simple mods ...

    First pics

First mod, spray in Full Metal Jacket bed liner. made dirty by my feet
Then installed my Under Cover Flex, AMP research bed step and NFab two step bars
Added a Thule bike rack to make use of my tow package ... LOL
Here in California we're not suppose to tint our forward side windows but I've found as long as you don't over do it you should be ok ...

50% tint with AVS window visors
Might have noticed my badges were either removed or changed over to black and added the tailgate insert
Swapped out my grill and added the 4x4 badge
Installed the ESP underseat storage unit

Did the driver side handle mod and wrapped them all
Then just recently received these. Awaiting my back up reverse LED's and PIAA headlight bulbs to arrive

That's it for now. Next up dual exhaust.

Test fitted my rear lamps without my reverse LED's.

Had to pull into my garage to see the strips lit up

Okay, so I decided to get my switchbacks in tonight. They are little brighter than I expected and overpower the Led strips abit.

And while in there I found out that the Spyders don't ship to you with side marker bulbs. California law says you must have some sort of amber light in the front of your vehicle. Lucky for me I had a set of amber Led bulbs available to install.

I'll tell ya Dave, the more I look at the grill the more it's giving me the itch to change mine.

Steve, trust me ... you wouldn't regret it. Easily one of my favorite mods that right away gives you the "I feel different from most Tundras". Alot like changing out your wheels.

    Hey Mark,

How's it going? I think I made my introduction to some of our locals on the NorCal thread. I believe two of you made a trip up north somewhere off of Hwy 50. I wanted to try and make it but work got in the way. (if it's not work, it's the wife or kids). Anyways thanks for the compliments and hope to meet you and the other Bay Area guys someday.

Got the exhaust in ... looks great and sounds nice! Throttle feels lighter ... doubt there's any real gain. Time will tell.

    Okay, it's been a good week ...

Spidertrax 1.25" spacers arrived today. Hope to have them on by the weekend.

Remaining LED's should be here tomorrow ... Then the Mod slowdown begins.

    Dave,

Sorry if I missed it but what Reverse bulbs, brand wise, did you go with? I'm on VLEDS site and found what should fit my truck and wife's car.

    Thanks!!

    Steve,

I got my reverse leds from Headlight revolution
The photos don't do them justice as they are very bright. They are the level 2 models. I can't speak about the vled reverse leds but can tell you that my switchbacks from them are incredible and also very bright.

It does lock and seems pretty secure. The unit itself is bolted down via the rear seat bolts.
