Hi all. I've got an SR5 with the regular exhaust. Has anyone put sound deadener in the floor to get some of the drone out? It's not too bad until I tow my RV.

^ I was thinking this as well.
I first had a Magnaflow that had the drone from hell, that was before I'd learned about @dirtydeeds
I called Keith and he recommended trying his Helmholtz resonator.
Not only did it kill the drone, but it knocked the sound down to stock.
I then bought one of his BAM systems and I've been happy ever since.

@JWWard03 it would be worth a shot if you just want to kill the drone.

I did sound deaden my back wall and rear seat floor.
It did help a little, but not as much as one would think..

Resonator is well worth the money. It makes the truck sound quite refined and quiet when cruising around. It doesn't change the sound much over 2000 rpm so I'm not sure if it would help as much with towing drone.

Drone in our trucks is 130hz. This frequency has a wavelength of 104”

sound deadening is no match for a wavelength this long. Your only choice is to cancel out the drone.

    our Helmholtz does just this;)
