does changing battery or unplugging to clean battery terminals erase the programmed stuff into the infotainment system. (Maintenance records/navigation destinations/radio stations/Bluetooth programming/etc?)

reason I ask is that one vehicle I own keeps it and another dumps it.

Im due for a new battery on my 2017 and I just was wondering if I can do a quick battery swap or am I going to take some time reprogramming everything.

I have disconnected the negative on my battery a bunch of times and all my stations come back and so too the maintenance records. I have the JBL HU.

JBL HU here too and radio keeps all settings after unplugging the battery. I don’t use nav on it so I’m not sure about that. My phone will connect so Bluetooth setting is saved.

If you have a trickle charger, I think you can hook the connectors up to your cables before disconnecting your battery to keep your settings. I have also seen battery powered maintainers that plug into a power port that do the same thing.

On my 2020, I lost all of my radio stations (aftermarket) and haven't checked the rest of the radio yet since I have to disconnect it again to change the positive terminal. My dash brightness setting reset also.

Yup, you can lose everything including custom engine tunes. To prevent that loss when you disconnect the battery, you can use one of these:

    https://www.amazon.com/Connector-Ve...c/9v+for+vehicle+battery,automotive,76&sr=1-2

I have used that several times and it works great.
