Question: Superbumps

I have a 17 Pro with a 1” CB shim, and want to get a set of Wheeelers Superbumps.

The CB TRD pro kit came with bumpstop spacers to protect the suspension. I need to know what spacers I should get, I can get either the (1/4" Spacer Pair) or these (3/8" Spacer Pair)



Or do I need both of them ?

Any help would be appreciated.

 

Why can't you just use the CB spacers with the new bump stops?

But if you want to get the wheeler spacers just measure and see what the CB ones are and get the ones that measure the same from wheelers.

 

I’m thinking they may be to aggressive/long in addition to the length of the superbumps. I really don’t know to be honest.

 

Superbumps compress to factory bump height, they just engage sooner.

I installed the superbumps, and ran into a minor issue. When removing passengers side the bolt broke inside the bumpstop housing. I used the same angle and tq as I used on the other side but it still snapped. I used a drill bit and a screw extraction bit to get it out. So, a 10/15 minute project took 2 hours. Fair warning be carful.

 

This is a great mod, worth the money no doubt. Really smooths out the front end.

 

For anybody that is removing and reinstalling bump stops here is a little tip. Spray some lubricant from the top side and let it soak on the threads are before removal. I gave mine a blast the day before. Mine came right out.

 

What do these this things do?

 

It’s a softer bump stop. More progressive than just a solid abrupt stop when your suspension is fully compressed.
