Question on pad

I am getting a bit old. I used to be able to do multiple cars in a day. Now, the Tundra seems BIG.

My son got me a Sears Buffer / Polisher. You buy bonnets and put them on for different tasks.

My questions: What type of pad is used for putting wax on? Yesterday I used the microfiber one, sort of like a towel. If seemed to work well.

What pad is used for taking wax off? I wanted to use the synthetic fleece. But read somewhere it can burn the paint.

Any help appreciated.

BTW: I should add I use Griots 3 in 1 Ceramic. But sometimes I need a cleaner wax to get off the water spots and leaf stains. The oak trees are MESSY this time of the year.

Also, funds are a bit tight. So buying a new system isn't going to happen.

Depends on your set up and the type of wax you use, the bonnets will slip under pressure. I wouldn't use them for polishing but for application of wax and buffing these can work fine. For polishing you'll want to use foam pads.

If you have the specific model folks can provide you with better feedback.

 

The Wax I was using is Zaino Z-AIO ALL-IN-ONE. It is a good cleaner wax. I removed most of the rain stains and the leave residue.
