So I’m getting some Nitto RG mounted and balanced on my 19 Tundra Pro right now. They are bigger than the oem size.
Should I get a alignment afterwards? I have about 8,500 miles on the truck now. I have heard even though the truck drives straight it can still be out of spec a little bit and cause premature wear. I just want to play it safe.
I get mixed answers with people saying if it’s in alignment now it will be after the tires.

Anytime you are changing the geometry of the suspension such as lifts or other suspension work I would say yes. But just going to taller tires I wouldn’t personally align it IMO.

Depends on you. Is it going to eat at you? Are you going to think you are seeing premature wear when there isn't any? Do you have the funds readily available for the alignment?

Personally, I get an alignment when I get tires that are a different size. I like the peace of mind, and then if there is an issue with wear, I can skip that step when dealing with the tire shop/manufacturer.

I pick it up a little while ago and it tracks and drives straight. I will ponder this over.

New tires : not needed unless your old tires showed wear.

Play with the suspension : definite yes.

You can always find a shop that does free alignment checks.
