Just curious how easy is it to set up? And does it work if you have a case on your phone?

Demo video is in post #1.

We tried to make it work with as many cases as possible but given there are a seemingly limitless number and brands of phone cases, there’s no way for us to be able to guarantee which cases will work and which won’t.

Wireless charging relies heavily on proximity of charging source and charging device. If your case charges on another wireless charger, it should work on ours. But if you have a thick mil-spec battle case (like an Otterbox Defender) or case that may block a charge (like an aluminum case), then probably not.

Please refer to post #1 and subsequent posts for additional intel.

Looks like I was late to the party and will have to wait until they become available.

Any chance you could create a 2nd list for forum members to pre-purchase before the general public? I think many of us are interested that saw this thread a little late!

Just curious as I am probably confused, but I have a 23 Tundra Limited and it already comes with a wireless charger pad. What is the use case for this, is it to increase the charging speed, add an additional charging pad next to the toyota installed charging pad, or is this for those models which do not have a charging pad?

If I’m speaking accurately, there are two options available:
    1. a replacement for your current Qi charger (there have been numerous reports of the current charging solution being finicky or experiencing difficulties with certain cell phone cases)
    2. An add on option for those that do not already have the Qi charger but also requires an additional trim piece to be ordered from Toyota to give you the “hole” to install the charging pad.

If I misspoke I apologize and will either delete or edit my comment as necessary.

Thanks and I agree that the current charging pad is very slow, and at the very minimum, at least keeps the phone battery at its current state.

    This exactly! :D

As stated, we developed a solution for the Qi-equipped owners because we ours didn’t work. After researching a bit more, we believe Toyota has essentially used the same part for wireless charging since at least the early-mid 2000 Prius.

We also wanted to create a solution for those who wanted to retrofit a wireless charger into a truck that was not factory equipped with one.

There will be two initial product offerings:

    1. Universal Charging Insert (for factory equipped vehicles)
    2. Universal Charging Insert with Plate (for non-factory equipped vehicles).
We also have a few more product designs and applications on deck for after these two items get rolling.

I'd be very interested in a dual Qi solution (so my wife and I can both charge our phones at the same time). Any plans for this solution?

    Great question!

We build our own coil packs and print our own mounts. These units are specifically designed to fit the 3rd Gen Tundra.

We have plans to expand to other model lines in the future (Tacoma and more) but for now we are only selling units for this application.

More details are in Post #1 as well as a product demo video.

Technically it would just need to plug in to a USB port. So any 5v source would power up the charging coils. I plan on running a dedicated 5v source for it amd not use the USB port in the console.
