Thought I was finally over the hump and I'd have my 2022 Limited Hybrid CM TRD OR this week when the salesman told me it was on "QC Hold" for 30 days and to check back.

I've got 2 last gen Tundras and 2 4Runners now and I have owned 4 Tacos, and an additional 4Runner in the past and I have never saw this?

Does it take the full 30 days?

Do they tell you what the QC issue was so you can inspect it and it can be documented?

How long did it take any of you guys after they issued the notice?

I’ve seen QC take a couple months! 30 days would be wishful

I've owned more than a few new Toyota's and my Highlander stayed in QC for about 30 days. The issue Toyota fixed on it during the hold still shows a fault on the appt and the dealership can't figure out how to clear it

Welcome to Tundra purgatory.......don't expect much information from Toyota and if you seek it out from them expect frustration.......at least that's my experience. Probably your best hope at getting something tangible will come from this forum.

Thanks for the input. I’m considering dropping my reservation. It’s taken an unreasonable amount of time to get this truck and now with the ‘23s coming out I have ‘22 that’s going to depreciate a model year before I even get to take ownership.

I’ve got two Tundras and w 4Runners in the driveway right now. I’ve never been more disappointed in Toyota.

I picked up my truck today (10/1) instead of 9/6 as originally planed because of a QC hold. I was told 49 days, ended up being a bit quicker. Good luck!

I picked my truck up day before yesterday. It came off quality hold at noon, and was at the lot at 1pm.

I printed the inspection list from this site and went over the truck. I can't find anything obviously wrong. Took the test drive and could find no wind noise. I like the hybrid system alot.

Congrats! Where are you located? My truck is on the same 9/20 QC hold and I’ve heard nothing. From the other thread on here it sounded like there was a process to get them off hold. Announce the recall, come up with solution, then fix at railheads. Maybe they didn’t come up with a recall and will start releasing trucks :fingerscrossed:

This wouldn’t be as painful if I wasn’t given a 9/15 - 9/23 delivery date. We are now 3 weeks into this QC hold with no news, no issue, no resolution, nothing. I’m waiting for a 22 too, when they’re probably already building 23’s. I can’t say I’m too happy with Toyota right now.

I understand. I turned down a solar orange that I could have picked up on Friday because I found a lunar. It wasn’t until after I put the deposit down they said it was delayed

My 2021 was put on QC hold early October 2021. 3 weeks later, very early November the QC hold was changed to a Safety Recall - Stop Sale. My truck was sitting at the Rail Head in Minnesota and it stayed there until it was released to the dealer in March 2022. I took delivery of my New 2021 Tundra March 8th 2022. I brought up the fact that my truck had deprecated and was basically told too bad. While you are waiting for your truck to be released from QC Hold keep an eye on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website, punch in your VIN and hope that it doesn’t turn into a recall - Stop Sale. Good Luck.

I’m contemplating backing out. A Pro is going to cost me $80k. If that’s not a waste of money on its own now I’m getting it when they’re building 23’s. I gave my dealer a down payment a year and a half ago. It’s the biggest Toyota dealer near me too , which is why I picked it.
