AutoZone offers a Mobil 1 Extended Performance Oil Filter (priced $14.99 or less) bundled with Five Quarts of Mobil 1 Full Synthetic or Synthetic High Mileage Motor Oil (either five 1-quart bottles or one 5-quart bottle) for $29.99. This $17 mail-in rebate drops that to $12.99. Plus, you'll receive free shipping. Click here for more information about the rebate. Deal ends March 10.

Note: Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy is available at the same price. Annual Protection and Extended Performance also get a discount/rebate, but will cost more

    Instructions:
    1. Add oil filter to cart
    2. Add one of the oil quarts to cart
    3. Go to your cart, change quantity of oil to 5 - discount should appear automatically
    4. Follow instructions for rebate form - note the rebate form is limit 2, so you could get 2 filters and 10 quarts for ~$26 plus tax on ~$60 (which is what I did).

Link to Tundra oil filter (m1c-453)

    Oil options:
    Mobil 1 0w20 AFE
    Mobil 1 0w20 Annual Protection
    Mobil 1 5w20 Extended Performance
    Mobil 1 5w20
    Mobil 1 5w20 High Mileage

Note: the 5 quart jugs are also eligible, but I prefer the individual quarts since the big jugs go on sale more often.

Yeah, that's what I usually do when these rebates come up, but combined with the autozone deal it's basically a net difference of $7 for 2 filters that are normally $15 a piece (assuming your $51 includes tax). That's a no brainer for me.

The Mobil 1 filters look almost exactly the same as the TRD filters, so they're definitely "better" than the regular OE one. However since my new truck is an FFV that requires 5k intervals, I'd stick with the OE filter or something of similar quality/price if there isn't a sale going on.

I don't see autozone on the list of participating retailers. I may have over looked them.
