I'm thinking about dropping by Prairie City on Saturday. This will be my first time getting my new truck on the dirt and testing out the four wheel drive, so I won't be doing anything crazy. I've been there in my FJ a few times to shake it down. Hopefully it has dried out enough that I won't have to spend hours cleaning up afterwards
Not worth a long drive for those in the Bay Area, but if anyone in the Sacramento area would like to meet up, let me know.

Dammit, I just came down with a cold last night. I feel horrible today. Doubt I'm gonna feel like driving that far tomorrow. :(

I don't think it is worth a 2-3 hour drive on a good day let alone when you don't feel well. I hope you feel better and I'm looking forward to a real trail run in the near future.

For anyone that hasn't been to Prairie City before, I took a couple of suboptimal videos, so you can see what it is like. As soon as they are done uploading, I'll post them here.

The second one is short, so it uploaded quickly. I have a third one, but it will have to wait until later.

In the first video you completely missed the long mud bog will need you to go back and go through it so we can see how your truck does in the mud.

Nope. I don't know what that guy was doing, but I don't think they ever went above 5mph.

The definitely wasn't going to happen this time, maybe in the future if I'm there with a few other trucks. I've seen videos online of people getting stuck in there.

Matthew, I'm coming with you next time. You can try the mud pit and I'll pull you out. ;)

Here is part three. This was my first time using this new camera also. I need to find a better mounting position, the tilted video is killing me.

I now know why it is called Prairie City. Thanks for the vids.

There are a few different obstacles to do and it is open enough that you can get on the throttle, you do have to watch out for the side by sides. Then once you are done, you can relax and watch some crawlers tackle the big stuff.
I live 7 miles down the road from the park, so anytime anyone wants to meet up I'm probably game.
