power tailgate

does anyone have instructions on installing model number. 00016-34355 tundra/tacoma power tailgate lock. ive been looking all over this forum and all of the kits i see installed have different actuators than i received. i have pictured what came with my kit.

Now I see it. Hmm... that almost looks like the Pop-N-Lock one.
It didn’t come with instructions? Where’d you buy it from?

 

got it from dickdyersparts.com along with some led bed lights.

Very odd that no instructions came with it. I’d be asking for my money back.

also, unless you have a DC long bed, you don’t need the “extra long wheelbase” kit

This kit should be totally plug and play, comes with great instructions, and works great. I bought from sparks, but same part number

that is actually the one i ordered (the long bed one was wrong link) but was sent the other model number- this one says plug and play also but havent seen anyone elses install experience with it and im not looking to experiment...

Hi folks, I have recieved the same lock from the same supplier, did you manage to install this, or is this the wrong part?

 

Agreed that this looks like the updated PopnLock. I put it in last weekend.

Most YouTube videos are accurate until you have to splice it in under the dash as PopnLock fixed the reverse wire issue as far as I can tell.

I bought better wire splicerd from O Reily, and used the blue connectors (red didn't work).

I bought this same part 00016-3435 and I have a PDF attached here that was given to me by the dealer.

 

Looks like he added the following line:

"The pop lock videos on youtube show a different actuator, a metal baseplate, this one is all plastic."
