Power for Topper

When I had my topper installed they ran the light straight to the battery which is ok but I'd rather have it switched with the cargo lamp switch, does anyone know how that wire is routed to the light? I'm hoping along the drivers side beneath the kick panel.

 

i ran a wire from the battery to a mini fuse panel behind the rear left tail light, and from there I have the light for my cap, switched reverse lights (also light up when in revrese), and switched bed lights wired to it. I'll see if I can dig out some pics. it's a blue sea systems fuse block, also not pictured is a ground/terminal bar too. the yellow wire (only color i had) is the hot lead from the battery and its 10 gauge tinned copper marine grade wire, runs the length of the chasis in 1/4" split loom zip tied in place. makes adding rear accessories very simple.
