Good afternoon everyone, I was out today adding washer fluid and was given the truck a good look over and found this unusual residue and wondering if I could have a possible valve cover leak. It's on the driver's side. The passenger is spotless.
Trucks a 2015 SR5 5.7 Flex fuel with right at 140xxx miles. I took a few pictures for your viewing pleasure.
    Thanks
    David

What a mess, truck should be totaled, a danger to the roadways with that amount of oil leaking after 140K miles...

I know isn't it, I think I'll look at a Chevy or ram as a replacement definitely no issues with those brands....
I spent a hour cleaning it off and think it's coming out of the hose in the picture. I took it off and cleaned all around it really good and going to get a better clamp tomorrow. I'll continue to watch it to see if it was that simple.

No only on the one spot right by that hose. I spent about an hour cleaning it up and will monitor for a while.

can't really tell and i'm still not familiar with the 5.7 3UR-FE, but is that the PCV hose? If so, it could just be moist from the oil from the crankcase seeping through the connection. ain't too worried. still looks like normal dirt and engine gunk to me. seems dry-ish all around

There is nothing wrong with that engine. Check in another 140K miles!!!!! I am getting old, I had cars built in the 70's leaked worse than that driving home from dealer.
