Poor FM Reception 2013 Non-JBL Solved

Hopefully this helps someone down the line. 2013 Non JBL was recently plagued by static in the FM reception that seemed shadowy as you drove. Took it to several people and they all felt FM tuner was failing. I was looking at about $700 for a new head unit. I wanted to assure there was not a issue with the truck so dug deeper and found my kids had put a cheap 12 volt USB charger in the front outlet. Throwing it out solved the issue immediately. I am glad I do not have to spend the money, but now I lost the excuse with my wife.
