I suspect there are Pro owners who are cool running 33s or pizza cutters to save on gas. I'm also interested to see if tire brand affects the likelihood of rub (I'm sure it does).

***Please don't reply if you're running spacers or shims, unless these mods were required to alleviate rubbing.
***Please don't reply if you're running aftermarket wheels.
    ***Pics are always good.

Please also respond to the thread with the following info in the following format:

    Tire size:
    Brand:
Did it rub and, if so, where? (front mud flap, UCA, body mount, etc.):
If applicable, what did you do to fix the rub? (removed front mud flap, heat gun, trimmed something, added spacers, added shims, etc.):

My truck came with Ridge Grapplers. When they need to be replaced, I’ll go to 275/70 probably in Toyo Open Country AT III’s or Cooper ST Maxx.

295/70 seems to be very popular with Pros on stock suspension.

That's the size I'm going with and @RainMan_PNW just got his installed.

I like the 285/75s, you get bit more OD which is great for clearing stuff, and most weight around 55lbs to 63lbs range not to mention no trimming of anything is needed.

Haven't started even messing with them yet for that. It was way after dark when they got put on last night, and it was still dark when I left for work this morning. I'll probably push them up to 40-ish and start chalk-testing if I can get a break in the rain.

These are the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT - 275 75R18. Had them for 2.5 months now. Hunting elk & deer in Montana dirt & mud, pheasant in MN snow & ice.
They are better off-road than the stock Michelins (of course), which were of no use in minimal snow/mud combinations on dirt roads. (but I was too cheap to dump them before the tread wore out) Visually they were pitiful on the truck as well!
So far the AT3 are performing well in the snowy weather I have come across on and off road.... but honestly, never had a better tire on the road in rain/snow/ice than those stock Michelins.
I have just under 10k on them since Sept 1, but the addition of the camper on the back has totally changed the truck profile, and as such the feeling of the truck in inclement weather. It will take a bit yet to fully assess my likes and dislikes of the tire.

+1 on those stock Michelin, I want to hate them but honestly the only thing I don’t like about them is the look.

I don't mind the look so much as the size. They'd look just fine in a 285/75R18 !

Looks great! How do you find those Westcott preload spacers affect the ride of the Pro shocks? Is it noticably stiffer?

Exact same on my truck. Not a pro, but it’s leveled just like a pro. I will probably stick with 275/70 next time as well. Looks really good.

Same here. 275/65 ridge grapplers. I’d like larger tires but I can’t justify buying them till these need to be replaced.

The Ridge Grapplers haven’t been a bad tire for me. The reason I’m looking for a different tire next time is 95% of my off-roading involves red clay mud and that is definitely their weak point. Other than that they’ve been great for me. I don’t want to go to an all out mud tire. From the research I’ve done it seems the Tokyo’s or Cooper’s may be a bit better in mud.

I’m thinkin there’s more folks running a 285/70r18 than the poll suggests.

If Nitto’s specs are correct, then the Ridge Grappler is only 0.33 inches shorter and 0.27 inches narrower than the 295/70r18, but 10 lbs lighter. Seems like a good compromise.

Anyone get away with running a 12.5 inch tire on the stock TRD Pro rim?
