I wanted both the Platinum and TRD Pro. I chose the Platinum for the extra safety and convenience features and then add the TRD components as I could. Here’s where she is now.
    1E2D4B1F-7190-4825-BC9E-0584C000FAAA.jpg

TRD Pro wheels with Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 3’s. I also painted the calipers with G2 epoxy paint and high temp vinyl TRD stickers.58981390-78AE-4168-B75D-9116D3B3E6D1.jpg

TRD Pro Fox suspension courtesy of local dealer take offs. I love the ride and no more bed bounce!!! I also really like the level it provides as well.423B8DA5-5AE7-45C3-8F5A-B31418E47959.jpg

I’ve had drone issues with previous TRD exhausts so I went with the Borla. I had my powder coating guy do the tips in a nice high temp black powder coat. I love the look and the sound is saaaweeet!008CF39A-CC30-4773-BB8E-68EF1B79DAFB.jpg 62805449-D56F-4ADE-964A-BBEFD0D104FB.jpg

Vent cover rings and key fob from AJT Designs. The red was off so I painted them Barcelona red to match. Also painted the cup holder cover.C7E27331-F584-4640-BCCD-A61A1AC0792C.jpg 1D9C413A-B61E-4FA3-B1C0-18E683681D5A.jpg

I started with a fiberglass tonneau, but wanted more flexibility. I’m loving this Retrax aluminum retractable cover. I got the t-slots for the rails so, ski rack will go on next.3F80FC7A-C23A-4AC3-B06D-9B29BDE5DE3C.jpg

I did the bed light kit from Matt Gecko. I like it a lot. Super fast shipping and great customer service! I had one of the three strips flicker. He replaced it immediately.F924CF19-C1D3-474D-8B5A-F837276B9348.jpg

It’s still a work in progress, but getting closer and closer to what I wanted.

Nice truck. That red is growing on me, especially done up like yours. Your add ons are perfect, nicely done man, I'm jealous. Keep an eye open for a TRD rear sway bar, they are well worth it. Keep us posted on those Revo3s. I had the Revo2s on a Tacoma and loved them for about 25k miles and they started getting loud, rubber seemed harder, and traction started to slip. I ended up replacing them at around 30k miles. I may have had a bad batch, I hope the Revo3s are good to you

The was asked not to share the price. They really hooked me up with a great deal. They knew I was trying to find a solution to the bouncy bed problem and they became available at just the right time.

I totally agree. I always thought they should have a TRD Pro and a TRD Pro Platinum for those who want it.

Seems like others did the same. We bought our Platinum to build like a Pro and beyond. Nice build!

I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and assume that you like the color red? A little bit, at least?

I can't blame you. I almost went with a red one too. It's a pretty truck.

Honestly, I didn’t really have a preference when I bought it but when I saw it in Barcelona Red I fell in love. Don’t tell anyone, but my favorite it that Voodoo Blue. Hubba hubba!

Need to bite the bullet now and spend the money on a painted replacement bed from Toyota with the TRD PRO stamp on the sides. Probably only a few grand and it will complete the look.

Nah. Too expensive. I’d rather use the $2K for bumpers and just get the raised decals.

Got some new bbs wheels last week courtesy of this forum. Just need to find those suspension. How much of a difference do they provide versus the platinum stock suspension.

Did you contact the service department or the parts department?

The suspension is better than advertised. I just added the TRD sway bars today and it’s in the sweetest spot right now. I love it!

I got mine through the accessories specialist at the dealer. He had a customer who got the TRD Pro and wanted a six inch lift, so the shocks became available at just the right time.

Keep bugging them in a nice way. Get some Starbucks (or donuts) and swing by to say “hi” so they keep you at the top of the list. It took me 8-9 months to finally get them.

    Hey Ben,
I'm lining up to convert my TRD Sport to Pro shocks from a dealer. How much more lift do they provide from the stock setup? Are there any issues in adding an air bag system or Roadmaster active suspension system on the rear to compensate for sag when towing? Not sure if air bags are added before or after rear shocks. Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Dan

Congratulations! You’re going to love it! The Pro Suspension just adds 2” of lift in the front, which is perfect for me. It make it nice and level.

I have Firestone airbags coming, but before I ordered I downloaded the install instructions and made sure there are no clearance issues. It looks good to me. I’ll let you know after I install. I don’t know about the Roadmaster, but the Firestone and Airlift ones look good.
