Anyone else feel that the front seats in the Platinum (maybe other trims too, IDK) are too wide? Very little side bolstering and what is there is too far out to the sides. I find that I slide around in the seat when making turns.

SO, I'm wondering if anyone has found a solution to this. Maybe an aftermarket side bolster option? Or a way to have a pro take the seat apart and add side foam Otherwise, the seat is nice. Just built for a wider-than-average person.

Ummmmm nope. These wide child-bearing hips and big ole booty have no issue. I’m not even a big girl, but that’s the biggest part on me. :D

Think I’ll call the local upholstery shop on Monday to see if some support can be added. Seats are otherwise nice, just too wide on the back.

No way. That is one of the reasons that caused me to fall in love with the Tundra. My 4Runner was always too damned cramped. I'm not overweight, but I am 6'2" and have very broad shoulders. The seats in my Platinum are dreamy!

No Whataburger up here....FiveGuys and FatBurger for me.

I'm just under 6' but only about 175lbs, a lightweight by bigboy truck standards. That said, I love the extra room and have no issues with support or being too roomy

Wide? Not really. But I hate that I can’t lower the seat. Too damn high

    Yes.

The seats in my 2002 are not quite as wide, but most everything about my 2007 is bigger that what I am accustomed to in the '02 .

Best seats I ever had were in my 17 Mazda 3 GT hatchback. The Tundra Platinums are a close 2nd. 6ft2 205 lbs here.

I feel like I sit on the seat as opposed to in it, if that makes sense. I have a 3.5 hr drive tomorrow & will ponder this further.

The side bolsters are almost non-existent.

Sht. I wish the seat was wider with less bolstering like the 80’s. I am not a big guy. Just like flat seats.

I'm 5'10 155lbs. I love my platinum seats, gives me plenty of room to get comfortable on long trips. I can lean side to side, slouch, etc. I took a 15hr trip to el Paso earlier this year, only stopping for gas, and I felt great after the drive. Easily one of the most comfortable trucks I've ever rode in. Drove 6 hrs today already, gonna do another 6 going back in a couple hours after I take care of some stuff from the recent hurricane.

I asked my wife the same question - if she thought the seats were too wide. Her exact response:

"Wide seat for a big booty."

    I like wide seats.

Wouldn't be so bad if the leather was even slightly grippy. But it's slick so I slide around on it.

No complaints here on the Platinum’s seats. It’s my 7th Tundra since 2000 but my first Platinum. These seats are the most comfortable, by a long shot. I’m 6’ and 196 lbs.

No kidding!! Feel like i paid for something that I’m not benefiting from. My wife has a 2018 Mazda6 Signature with ventilated seats and they are wonderful. I actually have to turn them down. Their #1 setting is more forceful than the Platinum’s seats on #3. Kinda pathetic really.
