    Simple dough
    All purpose flour
    Salt
    Sugar
    Yeast
    Warm water
Mixed and kneaded and let rest in a floured bowl covered for a free hours

    Light up the egg
Use the plate setter and pizza stone
Let temp roll on up to 700 and let the egg idle for about 30 minutes to heat the stone up.

Make the pizza with half the dough.
Use plenty of corn meal on the peel and stone so pizza slides around bottom does not burn

    Cook time about 5 minutes

The crust had the right amount of crunch on the exterior and inside was light and airy. The cheese and pepperoni had a nice char to them.
Was freaking amazing. I am beside myself at the moment lol

I almost exclusively use my grill for any pizza now. I don’t have the stone but we use the grill for everything from frozen pizzas, build your own flatbread pizzas, I’ve even put a cookie sheet down and cooked homemade dough pizzas. Always turns out excellent and I didn’t have to heat up my house by turning on the oven.

    Looks great Rich!
Did you place the stone right on the plate setter or did you put a spacer?
My local shop/BBQ pro said to make a couple foil balls to lift the stone off the plate setter. Not sure if it makes a difference, but it's what I usually do.

I have tried it both ways. Placing the stone on the plate setter seems to give me the better results.
I have the eggspander and normally place the stone on top of the grate so it’s just above the edge of the egg with the plate setter inside the eggspander

But I like cooking pizza this way better much better results

That and get it to 700 big difference that makes over even 600

I've got the eggspander too.....thing is amazing! I couldn't figure out how to use the plate setter with the eggspander though.

have you tried making stirfry using the egg. Lots of fun.

    Not yet.

You should be able to place the plate setter inside the eggspander. Which is where I normally leave it then if I need to grill I can remove the rack with the platesetter in it as a unit and place the grill grate on the ceramic liner and grill away

I think I need that in my life! We prefer to cook outdoors here whenever possible. This would open up some options for sure.

Ohh I do! Everything you have in the picture there! Does it also have a griddle in the barbecue? Nothing like cooking breakfast outside. Eggs bacon sausage etc.

To me, what makes a pizza stand out is a great crust. Yours looks like you nailed it. Great job.

Ceramic grills (I have a Primo XL) are great cooking tools. I love cooking on mine. Pizzas are a great way to get the kids involved.

They are fun, theres a bit of a learning curve but once you get a feel for it, things start to roll.

Still not a fan of cleaning it but its not that bad, I do like the self cleaning mode, crank it up to 700, let it roll for an hour, shut it down, everything inside turns to ash and you vacuum it away. Even the grill grates that get all nasty from smoking butts and briskets cleans right up.

Nice job on the pizza! I grilled pork chops, smoked sausage, deer poppers and tenderloin.

Cool. Wondering if I were to be able to sell my electric one and use the funds to buy an egg. Not sure what the market is for a used smoker. But have thought about it.

    Used smoker sell fast here.

Ceramic is the way to go for a one stop do it all..or Horizontal for true wood smoking. If you can swing it, both!
