I’ve got a Pioneer 8200nex w/ DVD. I put in a DVD for the first time in nearly 2 years of ownership and it only plays video when the key is in ACC position. If I turn the truck to “ON”, (without even cranking ignition), it gives me the “can’t play dvd while driving error”. It gives me the same error with truck engine on and truck in park.
Anybody know what’s going on so I can wire this to play video when the truck is on (engine running) and in park like every other DVD player I’ve had?

They probably forgot the bypass. Step on ur E brake and turn on ur truck. It’s the safety feature cuz u shouldn’t be watching movies in the front while driving.

Technically the Installer did what they’re supposed to do.

U should be able to find one that bypasses the navigation unit also. That’s the first one that came up so I posted it. But they are out there

Just stumbled across a Pioneer hack where all you do is press the corner of screen for 12 seconds and it bypasses everything and allows video even when driving. Without grounding or doing anything. YouTube is great. It really works. Thanks for your direction. I can now play Nintendo while driving.

@e30cabrio and @Trooper2 may be interested in this Pioneer mod to allow video without the parking brake on.
