before this truck I had a 2008 with the factory grab handle (same as post above) and can't remember ever using it - I don't miss it at all on my 2018, but I did also have step bars on both trucks

Quite frankly if you have a lift, spend a lot of getting in and out, or go wheeling a lot on crappy trails with no shoulders to speak of, you will definitely want the driver's side grab handle. Glad my 07 came with it. And.......it doesn't get in the way of anything.

I added the handle and getting in is much better. Not a fan of step rails so I negotiated a credit with dealer to take them off.

I finally broke down and got one through Sparks. I should not have bitched for two years and just done it when I first brought the truck home. Just do it, you won't regret it.

I am thinking of doing this on my 2018 Tundra 1794. My eyes are having a hard telling if the pillar color is tan or light gray. Does anyone know for sure or done this on the same vehicle. I hate to order the wrong color and have to exchange it through the mail. Thanks.
