Can't believe I did it and I'm still planning to get a 2022, but I couldn't pass up the deal I found.

Nightshade edition in MGM. She's a beaut! It's my first truck... Always drove SUVs

Gotta get running boards on it ASAP because my wife has trouble getting in. Any suggestions?

I'm also thinking about some ajt designs trim pieces. Any other must have accessories?

Taken bets the 2022 may never happen and the 2021 will stay in the family

Congrats! So, you plan to keep it less then a year? Taxes and fee's (and possible depreciation) will be significant. Unless you got it for way less then MSRP which is unlikely. Enjoy!

Haha... Maybe. I'm a tech geek so the big screen with wireless screen projection, electric power steering, and improved fuel economy may still pull me in

Just think after having the 2021 he might find it is all he wants in a truck - hasn't see, touched or driven the 2022

EDIT: but hey ask my wife - I have been wrong may times

Thanks... Yeah let's just say I got enough of a discount (unheard of in this market) that I think the hit will be minimal if any. The real challenge will be trying to get a 2022 at MSRP without a $3k markup

No... I really think it was just right time, right place. Didn't even have to haggle. I drove four hours to get it, but it was totally worth it. I kept confirming with the guy that there weren't any surprise dealer adds or market adjustments, but there weren't. The price was exactly what he said and they even gave me a good price on my trade. He said if it was any other model than the Tundra it would be a different story. He said they happen to have too many tundras and almost none of everything else

It is the Crew Max? I'll agree that the dealers appear to be getting many Crew Max models, but very few Double Cab models.
At least you have the nice limited edition one. I predict you'll keep it until at least the 2023 models (at the earliest).

I stopped at a local Toyota dealer. They had a number of Tundras. Most were the 2WD SR5 TSS model. I noticed a couple 4 Runners and a few Highlanders. They only had one sedan...a fully loaded Avalon. Zero of everything else. The salesman basically said since they made the decision to earn repeat business that they have not been selling any vehicles above MSRP which he said explains the empty lot. I wondered to myself how they can get any repeat business when they have no cars to sell to get ones initial business. I then drove through the nearby Honda lot. They had only 1 new vehicle on the lot. A Passport Sport. Weird times for sure.
