Does anyone have some pictures, or sound clips of the 6" or 8" BAmuffler system with stainless steel twin tips. The kind that Keith has. Want to see the bling of what those tips would look. Would appreciate it!

My big issue with the exhaust setup is it doesn't have the nice look of the TRD duals. I know you make a system where you have the customer buy the tailpipes & tips of the TRD duals, but you do an X-pipe and mufflers to not have any low end torque. Two questions....

1.) Can you do 6" mufflers for your TRD dual system w/ the x-pipe?

2.) What would a system like this cost?

3.) Would the 6" BA TRD duals sound a good amount louder than the TRD duals from Toyota?

    1. Here’s the systrm you’re asking for:

    http://dirtydeedsindustries.com/product/trd-replacement-system/

And we can put 6” mufflers into it no problem. I would use 12” minimum though. Smaller gets pretty raspy. Being duals you go bigger on muffler size. 12” mufflers in a red rep system are about the same sound as our 6” systrm.

    2. Pricing is in the link above.

3.trd rep with 6” or 12” mufflers are far more aggressive than the trd systrm when on the throttle. Yet quieter when on the highway.

Excellent! You've answered all my questions. So if I want the TRD with a louder note, I would get the 12" mufflers. Then of course, needing to purchase, the tailipipes seperately along with another rubber hanger.

It will be an expensive but A.) have the nice sound of your BA system (12"), B.) have the looks of the dual exhaust and C.) Not have any low end torque loss because of your X pipe and D) No drone!

I appreciate it Keith! Got it on my to buy list once I get my Tundra.

The trd tailpipes come with the extra hanger needed. And bolts and gaskets.

Would you lose some of the "drive-ability" with this system? Was under the impression you needed too run long tube headers along with this setup in order to maintain that.

Personally I would run single exhaust if running long tube headers. But a lot of guys with the trd exhaust are seeing a lot more low end torque with our trd rep system since it uses an X pipe. And no drone since it uses helmholtz resonators.

@dirtydeeds do you lose any low-end torque with your standard 6 inch system? I have a 2019 Tundra 5.7L

    Thanks!

I have the 8 inch for about 2 yrs now no low end torque loss I had duels prior to this system and that was very noticeable torque loss. Could not be happier with my decision of going with Keith's BA muffler

It’s true. Zero low end torque loss. Matter of fact there is only gain thru the entire rpm range.

I've had my 10" on for a few weeks now. I was in the passenger seat for a bit because of switching drivers on a road trip last weekend, I was actually surprised in how much different it sounded from the drivers seat. I could notice the sound much more even with the windows closed, I love this thing. It has a cool growl sound when you let off the gas and start to coast, but a really clean no rasp sound above 3k when getting on it.

The trip was 8 hours each way, the exhaust did not get annoying at all. A passenger asked if it was the stock exhaust, but did not say it was too loud or anything. Both passengers even fell asleep when we were in an area with no cell service (no radio). I would be interested to see what the 8" would sound like, but I have zero regrets in getting the 10".

So are they not seeing the same torque loss numbers compared to the factory TRD duals, but still some loss due to it being a dual system?
