There’s about 5,000 options just figured I would see what everyone that actually owns a tundra is using without spending $70 for a simple mount.

Got mine yesterday, installed it right above the 4x4 selector. Phone doesn’t move at all while driving. Great suggestion thank you very much. Not as fancy as the $70 pro clip but I’ll take the $60 I saved and use it towards my next mod.

I actually bought the version with stronger magnet, I believe. Works great and I can put it where I want.

Would I have to use the little sticker that goes on the phone or case if I have an iPhone 12 which already has magnet in it?

I have a Xr so no magnet. But my case (phone rebel case) has magnets built in but not positioned to hold. I had to attach the magnet the mount comes with to my case.

I have this. My phone falls off all the time. It's not bad if you drive paved roads in good conditions or if the only bumps you hit are speed bumps at parking lot speeds. The roads here are garbage though. Hit a pothole at regular speed, phone falls off. Drive down a bumpy gravel road, phone falls off. Bump the phone reaching for something, phone falls off.

That’s why I bought the one above. I have yet to have it fall off. I have not done any off-roading but have 3800 miles of it in Atlanta, Birmingham and Nashville and yet to fall off. It’s on pretty good.

I have this one. I'm pretty sure I paid $20 for a 2 pack from Amazon. It's proven to be really secure. I drive some really bumpy roads everyday and my phone has not fallen off once. I should qualify that by saying that I do not use a case, so the metal plate is stuck directly to the phone and directly contacts the mount. I can't speak to how secure it might be with a case between the plate and the mount. The mount did come with a plastic film that was supposed to stick to the phone, then the plate was supposed to stick to the plastic film. It's to make the plate easier to remove from the phone, I guess. That thing didn't stick to my phone for shit. 24 hours of frustration later I took that film off, stuck the plate straight to the back of my phone, and never looked back.

Edit: Here's the one I bought. 2 pack for $30.

RAM mounts are bulky, ugly, and overpriced in my opinion. I also hate the way the arms stick out way past the phone screen. Hard pass.

What I meant by asking for a basic mount was not huge not expensive but very efficient. This is why I went with the scosche magnet mount. I have only had it since yesterday but I will definitely put it to the test

Whether or not the Scosche works I think depends on where the metal part is attached to the phone and how well it stays there.
If the magnet can not work the metal because anything is in the way it is clearly not going to work as well as direct metal to magnet attachment.

I have used them through a case but it is hardly an ideal connection obviously.

Metal to magnet and solid mount base and mine never falls off but any part of the baseor metal mount not right and he phone will fly.

I stick with mine as they are the most simple mount I have ever tried and I have 4 of them in different cars right now and they are all terrific.
