Not passing emissions on my '08 Limited and I'm considering an OEM replacement of the muffler and tailpipe, but I'm also considering a less expensive Walker or more expensive Borla exhaust system. Anybody have experience with Walker or any performance exhaust upgrades?

I love my Borla. Fairly quiet unless you are in the throttle and no drone. I've always had good look with Borla exhaust.

On my old 2014, I hacked into my exhaust and had a shop weld a magna flow muffler. Enjoyed the sound, minimal drone (but some present). It was great until 3 winters in rustville took care of that. tailpipe / over axle was a gonner first, followed by the muffler itself. Straight up Sanford & Son once that weld snapped. Ended up ordering a new "OEM-ish" replacement from Rock auto or one of those. I think it was a Walker. Didn't put the tailpipe back as it was ruined from the cut/weld/rust, but the new "Walker" fit great and got me back to non-Darge Ram OEM exhaust sound. I think it was about $250 for that mid pipe.

Lol I know what you got JD.. You were supposed to give me a price for your stock on FB, lol! I ended up getting the Borla. I really wanted DD, mostly because it's not chrome lol, but I didn't want to crowbar my wallet open so much!

Lol NP. Just bustin ur chops. I secretly wanted to go performance just needed to wear myself down to fork over the extra cash for the upgrade. Was looking at newer rigs this am and it's really hard to go newer when you've already customized so much on the current rig. I don't like doing anything twice so my next rig will either be used with upgrades or it'll stay stock. Platinums and Pros don't have nearly as much as I currently have in my 08 limited.

They say the don't have sound bytes since there's too many variables in various speakers. You gotta take in the full experience live. How?! After the install???

I recommend the Borla! I did a dual rear on my 2017 and loved it...miss it!!

I found the Tundra sound byte. Sound's pretty great. It's a dual vs. the Sequoia single so I'm thinking the dual gives more grunt. I'm ok w/ that. I want more throatiness than stock but I don't want to be miserable during road trips w/ the family.

I know it's lame but I have to admit I'm struggling w/ the chrome. It was all gone for a couple years and I just don't want to see it, LOL. If the DD wasn't another 500 more than the deal I got on the Borla I would have gotten that one hand's down...it's like a flat black and I know it sounds good thanks to @farnsrocket 's sound bytes previously shared on his build.

That's why I went with the Borla, you can hear but it's not offensive going down the highway.
