Hey everyone. So not being a car guy, I don't want to try to put in my own shocks and brake pads and etc etc. I'm likely going to get a platinum (tho still have a '18 sport on order, waiting for details), and I want some basic things right off the bat:

    1. Dual exhaust
    2. Sway bars
    3. Leveling kit
    4. (This is going to sound dumb) the TRD break pads, if they're red and show through the wheels
    So my options are:

    A) I can order the truck from Toyota with all of these installed OR

    B) I can ask and beg you fine ladies and gents for your opinions on what's good for these parts and find a reputable shop in my area (Oahu, HI)

I don't have a garage full of toys and tools, nor the time to learn and do it myself.

Any thoughts and comments appreciated :)

Why not negotiate with the dealer to do the work as part of you buying the truck?

Luckily, I have a family friend in sales, so the deal I get in total should be good. There won't be any haggling over pricing.

A little of this and a little of that.

Glad to hear it. The pain must be lessening if you’re wearing shoes. :drunk:Here’s to hoping you continue to heal quickly!

I said that earlier now I'm wondering if my toe is bleeding because my whole toe feels soaking wet and so do surrounding areas I don't like that I'm wearing my combat boots and my toe feels swollen

A little of this and a little of that.

Are you not allowed to wear flip flops to work? Or some other shoe that may be a lot more comfy than a boot?

Sounds like @aramirez73 knocked 2 of 4 items off, if you want to try simple mods. (I totally understand if you don't.) If you contact the forum moderators with a request for help locating a reputable shop near you, they may be able to steer you toward other members local to you. Saw this work out for a guy just yesterday.

    Thanks.

Bit of an update on this tho. I stopped by the dealer today and they had an SR5 with the convenience and off road package in cement color. Gorgeous looking beast. It literally just arrived on the lot. I get there and 3 other people are looking at it.

I sat down for a test drive and my sales guy gets a text from his manager that it was just sold.

I think I fell in love with that color
