OK so update from last friday...

@jc153 came over and gave me a hand and we made great progress. Im a little short on pics as i was trying to get through this step, but i can add more later

First I finished off the cage install

got the last two bed holes cut and place the cage in and marked the holes ontop of the frame for drilling..
Then temp bolted the cage in. Im still waiting on the material to trim the hole edges.

Out with the old shocks and leafs

Im short on pics from here, but i cut off the old lower shock mounts and ground down and prepped the axle housing for the leaf spring perch, once that was done we mounted the new SUA leafs and shackles. temporarly mounting the up with the spring plates. and lowered the truck back down onto the wheels. So this is where it sit currently. The height is great and holy down travel.. when it was on the jack stands there was 16" of droop from the factory bump mount to the axle housing.

just realized in those pics, the bed cage is not mounted, so when it is mounted you actually dont see the cage above the bed edge.. so just keep that in mind.. Ill take a new pic later

Yeah look at the second pic it shows better as far as where it sits when bolted in compared to the bed level

Pics definitely don’t do it justice. Sooo much droop and the height is perfect.
I actually really enjoyed helping out, I learned a lot about the fab/work LT takes. Serious props to Bruce for taking this on. It’s a huge leap of faith to just start cutting shock hangers, etc. off your truck. Most people leave that stuff to the shops but Bruce isn’t scared, hahaha.
Your truck is gonna be badass, I can’t wait to hit the trails and see your setup in action.

i dont, i might be able to find out, however i think i need longer ones, because the pack is custom and thicker than normal i96 packs, they are not long enough.

I’ve been having issues trying to get a ubolt flip to work. Almost there but I’m getting a small gap at the bottom of the axle housing which is causing the ubolt to not snug up.
    D160A69E-90AA-48FB-8AD8-75297C0B3963.jpg
I grinder the seam down a bit to see if it would help. It brought the ubolt more snug but this was the best I can get.

I should’ve just got an sua kit w/ ubolts. I ended up using an sua plate for the pack anyway.

That’s pretty much what I am using. Just reverse.
My current u bolt is 3.5” wide 5/8” thick.

Hey Bruce looks awesome. I don't know if this will help I ended up using Tim's @DMZ Mr. Beefy Spring plates and I got my U-bolts from Deaver's and told them I was using Tim's plates. Although I think Tim has the U-bolts as well.
