So I already have a big paint chip taken out of my passenger side A pillar. I'm pretty ticked about it as I just made the first payment. Taking a close look at it it might even be down to the metal so I would have to get this taken care of pretty quickly.
Should I try a DIY solution or should I look into a shop to do a repair?

That looks like a great solution for small chips, but as they guy showed in the video it would not work well in my case as mine is too big and deep. Mine looks to be all the way down to the metal and I would think I would have to do a little bit of priming, paint and clear coat.

    I just zoomed in, you’re right, that’s deep/large, how’d they get there?

I don't know how it got there. I was driving along a few weeks ago and heard something, like a rock hitting the windshield, but didn't see anything in my windshield. I also had someone take their finger and write something on the side of my truck one day when it was raining while it was parked at work. It's not just a small chip.
