I installed a P3 brake controller in my 15 Tundra. They say 30 minutes install. I spent 1 1/2 hour. 1 hour just looking for a place to put the ground. I found a hole on the column mount. When putting everything back together i found the ground post they tell you to look for. If you are installing one of these the ground post is on the left side of the column not the right. Thats way the ground wire is so long. Hope this saves you time.

thought there was an adaptor that would let it be "plug and play" - might have to extend the wires some to fit for your needs...but there should be a harness that plugs in to the factory harness...

Does your truck not have the tow package?
If it does there is a $10 cable you buy for your year and make to plug right into a factory plug behind the driver quarter panel.
I installed a P3 in my 14 tundra in 15 minutes using the cable

The plug and play has a ground wire
